Credit Counseling and Financial Management Courses

When filing bankruptcy, you are required to complete a credit counseling class before your petition is filed, and a financial management course after your petition is filed from a provider approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio. To find an approved provider, please go to www.justice.gov, and select Ohio. Providers who serve the Northern District of Ohio will be listed first. If you reside in Dayton, Springfield, Columbus, Cincinnati or the surrounding area, scroll down until you see providers for the Southern District of Ohio. You may choose any one of these approved providers. Many of them offer online courses.
